Greetings and welcome to the
website for Louisiana Integrated Treatment Services (LITS). My name is James
Cooper and I’m a concerned consumer who has made it my mission to advocate
and educate others about the needs of people with co-occurring disorders, as
you’ve heard in my video link. I serve on the LITS Client Advisory Board and
am a member of the Louisiana Behavioral Healthcare Taskforce for the LITS
Project, which we are happy to now publicize online! This website is a
collaborative effort to provide you with information on almost every aspect
of co-occurring disorders, support and resource links, and opportunities to
advocate for the needs of people with co-occurring disorders. We hope that
this consumer-oriented website is helpful to you, whether you are a person
with co-occurring mental and substance disorders, or the family member or
friend of a loved one with co-occurring disorders.
By visiting this site,
this tells us you are a concerned stakeholder in the issues of co-occurring
disorders treatment services. We need and value your input as an essential
contribution to the LITS project, and I personally invite you to complete
our brief Feedback Form with your comments and suggestions for the treatment
service delivery system in your local area. Your input will be forwarded to
the appropriate project partners for a response.
