The CAHSD Quality Council functions within the scope of the CAHSD’s Performance Improvement Program and Performance Improvement Committee Structure. The purpose of the Quality Council is to support the implementation of the District’s Performance Improvement Work Plan and Quality Initiatives related to service delivery.

Parishes Served:

Goals:

1. Provide CAHSD Facilities and Programs with a well-defined approach for evaluating its performance and for improving service quality.
2. Provide CAHSD program managers, supervisory staff and direct-line staff with a well-defined, coordinated approach for identifying problems, resolving problems and promoting positive outcomes.
3. Promote effective teamwork, communication skills, and resolution of barriers between program staff through a collaborative, egalitarian approach of addressing issues that impact performance.
4. Protect CAHSD against risk and liability by ensuring that policies, procedures and practices are in place and promote safety, best practices and the recruitment and retention of competent personnel.
5. Promote greater resource efficiency to allow for the expansion of services and greater access to services.
6. Ensure that CAHSD facilities and programs meet regulatory performance standards as deemed appropriate.
7. Develop policies, procedures, and processes that are congruent with the District’s policies and procedures, licensing and regulatory standards.
8. Monitor the quality of services that are provided to ensure that established policies, standards and performance benchmarks are met.
