Message from Tanya McGee, Project Coordinator for the LITS Initiative

Hello and welcome to the website for the Louisiana Integrated Treatment Services (LITS) Initiative! The LITS Initiative is a collaborative effort between mental health and substance abuse treatment providers from across the state and is focused on the improvement of treatment services to those persons who suffer from co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. This website is designed to give providers, like you, valuable information regarding this very important initiative, update you on upcoming LITS meetings, conferences, and training events, and provide additional support to you through national links and resources in the area of co-occurring treatment.

For those of you currently involved in the LITS Initiative, we encourage you to review the activities within the various state and local level working committees in the hope this will enhance your own local integration efforts. For those of you who are not aware of LITS, we invite you to familiarize yourself with LITS goals and activities and encourage you to get involved with integration efforts in your local community by contacting LITS participants in your area.
